This past week, I managed to get some great deals on certain cuts of steaks and fish. If your store does markdowns to try and sell off products because they will expire, then go for it if you can! I did that with a nice T-bone steak. Today I found a ribeye for $9.99 a pound and took advantage of that deal since ribeyes can certainly cost more than that per pound. Also the sale for some wild caught scarlet snapper was a great price of under $4 for a fillet with scales cut. Wild caught seafood is always going to be much healthier than farm raised. Why? If you have a huge concern as far as environmental factors and health, farm raised fish may be raised in unnatural habitats and fed cheap fillers like corn (much like most of our factory farm livestock) and so it may be laden with GMOs, damaged nutrients, or chemical contamination like pesticides. Farm raised is definetely cheaper and sometimes that is all we can afford, but anytime I find great deals on wild caught seafood, I go for that!
